Little Flopsy Ponies has been fortunate to have been asked on a few memorable occasions to participate in Pony Camps, Birthday Parties, Summer Seminars, and given away as Horse Show Prizes.
Build-A-Pony Workshops
These are great fun, and the participants (young and not-so-young alike) are always very happy to take home a pony they have "built" with their own two hands.
The workshop consists of a specified number of pony "kits" and the materials used to put them together, along with instruction sheets of a personal instructor if available.
Option A: The pony kits, and me. ^_^ If your workshop is taking place within a half-day's driving distance of Knoxville, TN, and I'm available, I am always thrilled to come and conduct your seminar for you. This makes a great deal less work on your part.
Option B: The pony kits, and detailed instructions. I sell the pony kits at my booth at horse shows, through tack stores, and online, and I have never heard that they are particularly difficult to use or put together, so you can feel confident in your ability to conduct your seminar without my help.
The ponies have also been used as crafts for pony camps, birthday parties, craft days, festivals, just about any venue where there are children who would like to participate in the singular experience of making their very own pony with their own two hands. This is a great accomplishment for many children, and can teach valuable skills for use in everyday life.
I was taught to sew when I was about six years old, and graduated to a sewing machine when I was eight. My grandmothers both live near to my home and were kind enough to teach me. This is a skill I have used time and time again, and one that is becoming less and less common as time and generations go by. Little Flopsy Pony Packages are a great beginner way to introduce small hands to the joys of sewing and crafting.
Kits Include:
A Flopsy Pony Body, turned and ready to be stuffed, yarn for manes and tails, a pony heart, a Pony Card (a little card to write the pony's name, birth-date, home, breed, and special story or abilities the child may want to endow their little friend with.
