Little Custom Ponies
Little Flopsy Ponies come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and with any and all tack, accoutrements, and blankets that "big" horses come with. They can be created in any color, breed, and with any special marks or "funny little quirks" that a larger equine counterpart might have.
If you can dream it up, likely as not, I can make it for you. (or at least give it a best shot!)
These little ponies make wonderful gifts for all sorts of occasions, here are just a few examples:
A son or daughter getting a new horse for Christmas or a birthday? Wouldn't it be wonderful to have something wrapped up all shiny and bright to put under the tree or next to the cake? Well, since a real horse is a bit large, even a small pony...not to mention a trifle messy, what about a small, stuffed version, custom made to be an exact replica of the new horse or pony! What child's face wouldn't light up with the realization of their wonderful new gift, both in the house and out at the farm?
What about that sad day when a much beloved pony or horse has to be sold for another animal, sadly outgrown in size or ability? Or that sad day when a cherished friend finally takes that final journey to Horsie Heaven? What a lovely memorial to have a stuffed likeness to cuddle at night and to keep a piece of the beloved creature around forever and always.
I have made several of these ponies for children whose animals have been sold or outgrown, and on one very special occasion I did a pair of Litte Flopsy Angels, a memorial to a sweet, kind, wonderful horse who unfortunately lost a long battle with chronic colic problems in January of 2004. Rouser was made with his very own halo and little wings, along with a band-aid on his side where he had surgery. He had two families, and they both loved him very, very much. He is greatly missed, but always remembered. And we're all certain he has a very special place in Horsie Heaven.
What about that very first blue ribbon, or very first Championship won at a horse show! Nothing is more memorable than those splendid moments, and what a way to commemorate them than with a stuffed likeness, complete with matching show ribbon to remember that wonderful day!
Did you have a pony as a child who had to be sold, was grown out of, or some other of those all too common stories of "I wonder where they are now..."? Wouldn't it be lovely to have your own snuggly version to remember them by? I can work with almost any sorts of photos and your help, and together we can bring your little (or big, as the case may be!) back into your life once more.
Nightmares are a common childhood occurrence, and there is nothing like a steady night-light and a snuggly friend to keep the monsters at bay. wouldn't it be fun to have a cuddly friend just like the bright, comforting pony who lives in the barn; just the perfect companion to be there in bed at night to help chase the dark away? Or even a special pony done in any color of the rainbow, all ready to bring good dreams and lovely mornings?
What about a special pony to commemorate a memorable costume class or spring class at a local horse show? How much fun it is to make those costumes, all the boasting and planning, all the excitement and fervent prayer than everything will actually *stay on* for the entire class, and that the pony won't be terrified of their new "equipment"? (what horse show parent doesn't know what I'm talking about here? ^_^) What better way to remember such a fun day and all the hard work put into it than with a small, stuffed version of the animal in question, only one who doesn't mind hot glue and won't shy at the wings/tail/head/hat it now wears.
Does your little rider have a favorite race or horse, or dream of being a jockey someday? Custom ponies with racing gear would be such a wonderful gift idea!
